My 6.0 PSD batteries lasted for over seven years before I replaced them. I had the XL trim with almost no parasitic load from keyless systems or telematics to run them down.
I also carry heavy gauge cables that can reach between the TC and truck batteries.
That's how I knew it was time to replace them - I had a ScanGauge II with one one of the parameters set to FICM voltage and could see when the batteries could no longer carry the initial load. My truck had the dual alternator setup which allowed heavy loads on the electrical system once they spun up, but you could watch the batteries doing all the work until the alternator voltage kicked in.
