Buy a 2016 or 2017 Duramax??
My wife and I are retiring next spring and want to buy a new truck and 5th wheel to kick off our retirement. I plan to buy a GMC Denali 3500 Duramax. The big dilemma for me is do we buy a 2016 or 2017...

I really like the Sierra truck and have the loaded version. People get all wrapped up in the engine and forget that you are in the cab for hours on end and at the end of the day the GM trucks ride great and the their interior are the best bar none. IMHO
So bottom line if you want the truck do it or if you can wait get the last of the current engines as they should be a few bucks cheaper.
Bit off topic, But I love everything about my 07 Duramax except the interior!:@
I like the Ford interior better. In the newer trucks I think GM interior is improved but still # 3. I think it is a bit more cramped than I would like.
However the Duramax/Allison drivetrain makes up for any shortcomings!:D
