Buy a 2016 or 2017 Duramax??
My wife and I are retiring next spring and want to buy a new truck and 5th wheel to kick off our retirement. I plan to buy a GMC Denali 3500 Duramax. The big dilemma for me is do we buy a 2016 or 2017...

I am ready for a new truck but I am waiting for the 2017 to come out. If you don't need the latest and greatest- buy now or maybe even get a lightly used 2011-2016. Mine has 104k on it and runs better than it did new. It is the best towing, best braking, best mileage... truck I have ever owned by a long shot. I have never even had to change the brakes! I just want a new truck.
And I would not turn up your nose at a Ford or Ram- those are both very good trucks as well.
In the end- no way I would give up a year of traveling and seeing this great country in hopes that the new model truck is better. You can't get that year back and who knows what happens with health and other issues...
So get a truck and get on the road!!!
