I just purchased a car from CarMax, yesterday. 2015 Ford Explorer to be used as a toad to replace the Saturn Vue. What an excellent unexpected experience. I found the car on their internet search page, called and asked if I could inspect it. Since it was in Sacramento I had to pay $149 for them to ship it down, but I was under no obligation to purchase, and before they shipped it I saw 35 detailed pictures, had the car fax sheet, and any other information I wanted. When I got to Burbank to inspect I was ready for the sales pitch. No pitch. Here's the car, clean, ready to test drive, this is what it costs, this is the payment options, take it or leave it...and would like some water or anything. We were out with our car in 2 hours, home in time for the baseball game. And we can return it within 5 days if we find anything we don't like about it. Wow.
