Of course, you could start another thread warning people about speakers.
But, I disagree that speakers are a bad idea. Obviously, the execution by your manufacturer was bad.
I noticed something interesting about the picture of the delam supposedly from the speaker. It appears that the delam started well above the speaker and in fact appears to be from a leak in the roof. And, the speaker just happened to be in the path of the leak and resultant delam. Maybe you could share the manufacturer as I know at least one of the brands of cabover that you have owned more than once. And that particular brand did have some delam issues in the early years of gelcoat mostly before model year 2005. Some delam came from clearance lights as well. But, you and I are not going to get away from clearance lights. The delam years for that particular manufacturer seems to be in the rear view mirror as their newer models are not prone to delam.
