Seems to me that's what Jeremiah is doing, avoiding poor practices.
Ford is in the wrong here. Badly. This is a poor practice that is best avoided. Hopefully they'll fix it for '16, or at least '17.
There's really not much to argue. These trucks would be safer if the additions made to the crewcab were made to the other versions. But they weren't. "Marginal" isn't good enough when they can do better using a known solution. Ford has the capability to fix the issue, and I expect they will.
