I received the following reply from Chrysler:
Thank you for contacting us concerning an Import/Export question. We
appreciate your inquiry.
As a matter of company policy, we are unable to supply written
specifications for importing/exporting of vehicles. In some instances,
vehicles have been modified and are no longer compliant for the market
for which they were built. Once the vehicle leaves the manufacturer, we
cannot be sure what the current condition of the vehicle is, and we have
no way of determining if the vehicle still meets the same
specifications/requirements as when it was produced. Each country has
specific requirements and regulations that must be met before a vehicle
can be sold in the country.
I recommend you contact an import/export company that specializes in
assisting owners with getting their vehicle compliant for the market in
which they live.
I am sorry I cannot provide you with a more favorable reply.
