I would question the fact that the truck was taken on vacation and agree that rentals are abused. I would also bet that their insurance carrier would have issue with it too. It is not a "Perk" it is abuse. I would bet he stuck a dealer plate on it and drove it like he stole it. One thing I always liked to do was issue citations to people that attached a dealer plate permanently to a vehicle. It is to be used to transport or move a vehicle from one location to another and can not be used to avoid paying registration and that is what many use it for. I would cite them for the expired registration on the vehicle and take the plate as evidence and if they were lucky they would get to have their vehicle parked and not stored by me.
