Where are these advertised? Been looking but seems prices on kiiji are not that great.
Although my company claims they can buy new trucks for less $ cdn than we can here in $usd. No conversion. Essentially they're about 30% cheaper. I haven't seen it looking at advertised "deals" on new trucks after doing the conversion.
30% might be a bit of an exaggeration. Advertised price at dealers in Canada seems especially misleasing to me. I purchased my 2017 in the fall of '17 before the 18s were out for $20,000 under msrp. Often new trucks are advertised at msrp.
Many top of the line slightly used trucks are purchased in Alberta by wholesalers who import them into the US and resell them. Your company cannot buy new trucks in Alberta and import them into the US. I think it's something like 6 months and 20,000 miles before the vehicles are considered used. Ram does not offer warranty on used trucks that cross the line. GM has a short no warranty period after a vehicle crosses and Ford warranty moves with the truck. If you're a US citizen you can import one vehicle into the US per year so long as it is you driving it across. There is a process that needs to be followed but it's not difficult. Unless you have a business number and can say that you used the vehicle for business before driving it across the border you are subject to a 5% tax.
