Thanks, Fred! So is that all I would need to worry about if there's not a factory tow package? adding the hitch and brake controller? everything else would be okay for towing as is?
On the Ford vans, that's it. On many of them, the wiring is actually mostly there and you just plug in a 7-way harness above the rear axle. Cooling system, axles, transmission etc is the same with or without the "tow package".
On a Chevy however, I believe the tow package has some cooling system upgrades with the factory tow package.
I also think for Van w/o the tow pkg you need a relay that goes in the engine compartment fuze/distribution box.
