There are mobile car inspection companies that should do it for a couple of hundred bucks.
When I was in car sales, I had alot of people travel, sometimes great distances to purchase from me and I NEVER misrepresented a vehicle. I would personally take several pics of the car. If it had a scratch, dent or ding it was disclosed and a pic was taken and sent to them.
I personally never wanted my integrity questioned by having a person spend time and money to come buy a car and them not getting exactly what was described. A lot of it is finding a salesman you feel like you can trust and is being honest (they're out there).
You should be able to weed out the hacks from the legitimate salesman by making them in writing agree to pay for at least 1/2 your transportation costs should the vehicle not be as described.
