I paid $750 (no haggling) for my '71 Starcraft. I could put my arm through the siding at the kitchen sink area and check tire tread on both street-side tires under the kitchen cabinet. The main electrical fuse box had 5 lbs of mud on it, lol.
Point is, some of these old trailers get to be a big, long, restoration project. That is what I was looking for going in, besides the running hardware and frame in good condition. $5K and 6 mos of labor later, I have something I'm proud to show and has the attributes I wanted. The most outstanding thing is that multiple insulation schedules, a solid, clad floor, and triple glazed windows, make my old Hilton the quietest trailer I've been in. That really shines for the occasional siesta.
Good luck with the Prowler, most are built well.
