Boatycall isnt a novice at owning TCs. He used the same scale for both weights comparing his AF (I believe it was an 1150) to the EC 1160. If he says it weighed out at 7000 approx. lbs I would believe him. The reason this may sound unbelieveable to some is because manufacturers are noted for not showing true weights. The only way to get the real weight is to weigh the rig, and that's what Boatycall did. I can tell you my AF 1140 weighs out at atleast 5500 lbs wet and loaded, so a double or triple slide TC could easily get into that 6-7K lb range.
