We bought our Northwood trailer 300 miles away from where we live. Only one minor issue needed for warranty. Called NW and they found an independent RV repair shop near me. NW is very easy to work with. I've called a couple times for information and once when my water pump quite working. They sent me a new water pump for free.
With any RV purchase I would call the MFG and see what their repair policies are. I wouldn't want to have to rely on a dealer all the time. I went that route with a Heartland TT. Nightmare, from both Heartland and the dealer.
