Looking at buying a used diesel. Seem most say having 100k miles is no big deal if well cared for. What about transmissions, rear ends, wheel berings etc. If I find a truck with 130K would I be wise looking at it? Thanks
Some people take very good care of their trucks. I have 139,000 miles and have replaced the wheel bearings with OME, tie rod ends inner and outer, upper control arms ball joints were bad. The other parts where still good but at 100K why what for a failure to happen? Trans service every 15,000 with filter. Just replaced ALL the brake components including all soft lines (NAPA parts not OEM) last month. All hoses, thermostat and antifreeze. Plus I get OEM parts at employee cost so why wait.
Look hard there are good trucks out there but they are few and far between. If it where me I would buy a one owner truck from the owner not a stealer.
Used you can look at any brand not just the D-Max there all good if maintained!
Good luck Don
