Yea, I was just there yesterday surrendering my vanity plates for the truck I traded in. The woman there struggled to help me surrender plates. Not sure what she would say. Didn't seem to know her job well and was quite terse with me asking questions. She had that lovely combo of ignorance and arrogance.
I think I will just go ahead and weight he truck like dealer asked for. Curious anyway what is weighs. Send back the DMV form to the dealer checking off weight code A which covers me to 15,000 pounds GVW, pay my $332 dollars and put the stickers in the glove box. Like you say, people are driving these everywhere without stickers.
Just one more tax penalty for being a Californian.. Now that we are retired, CA will soon be a place to visit.
