Last night after work I looked under the glove box in my truck. There was a panel down there with two screws holding it in and I thought I might be in luck. So I pulled it off and discovered another panel with hex head sheet metal type screws holding it in. However, two of those screws are located way up(10") behind the glove box area. My wife came home about then and we went off to dinner.
Now, just thinking about the location of those two screws makes me think there is NO filter behind them. I'll need to lose a lot of weight in order to get my arm way up in that narrow area where the screws are located. It just seems to me that Ford wouldn't make it THAT difficult to change the filter, so I'm thinking there is no filter.
