Newer TVs, handle digital signals just fine. However, older TVs, the kind found in older rvs, do not. If you have an older tv, you won't be able to watch digital over the air or cable without a digital to analog converter. But, if the channel is scrambled, some Comcast channels are, you can't view them without a Comcast box.

Note Comcast boxes both convert digital to analog and descramble.
