Honestly, I was thinking of airbags, the strongest load range E tires, the superhitch along with a super truss extension along with the good mounts.
And, no, I will not be hauling the camper enough to warrant upgrading to a dually. No offense here guys and I respect everyone's replies but I have to piece this thing together logically. It's real easy to spend other people's money on internet forums. Unless someone here tells me i'm going to roll my vehicle or suffer a major blowout, i'm not spending $7000-10k to upgrade. If that were the case, I'd get a used class c diesel motorhome and call it done.
Welcome to the truck camper forum, where you have to weed out those few who think everyone has unlimited funds and the desire/ability to just go out and buy a different truck. All for a hobby.
Pulling that kind of load, there's really no way around upgrading to a much beefier hitch and some kind of extension if you get a TC with a long overhang. I really hate it when the first thing suggested is to weigh, but in your case you are in heavy territory and you probably need to know what the tongue weight of your boat is. I wasn't willing to upgrade my receiver and spend the money for it and a trussed extension so I elected to begin flat towing my Jeep. Obviously you don't have that option. But if you find a TC with little overhang you might get a way with a 8-12" extension and might be able to make it work.
Definitely shy away from any slide in camper. I'd look for something on the lighter side that meets your needs.
I don't think new E load range tires will cost you $2000. They might work, but you might be in the range where 19.5 wheels are necessary. Most times I do wish I had some, but to my eyes they are function over form so I haven't pulled the trigger.
Airbags are alright, but I'd look in to a set of Torklift lower Stableloads too. Bags by themselves can require a lot pressure and can create as many problems as they solve.
