Cabover space alternatives

My 'living area' is outside the camper, not inside. Why it's a camper and not a house.

To us the whole idea of "camping" is to be outside with nature, and a TC makes it easier to get out farther than other RV's. Our TC is a place to eat and sleep out of the elements and is a base camp for exploration, not an apartment in the woods.

With teens, why do that much work? They tend to sprawl anyways, so just throw some pillows up there and let them have at it.

Bedlam -- The Host is just as tall as the Eagle Cap but the Host ceiling on the cabover is more tapered so there is not as much headroom. Also the Eagle Cap has more square footage in the cabover.

In my opinion these truck camper spaces are small even in the largest models, so any ability to have any space be multi use is an improvement. Wouldn't it be nice if the created a fourth slide that popped up the top of the cabover?

I would think the pain of having to convert the space every night would make it impractical. If you can sit up there already, why not simply add a couple pillow backrests and a bed tray. Less to deal with and comfortable.

You can sit upright in mine when on the mattress, but any taller height would prevent you from doing so. You would have to sit with legs stretched forward which would make a table location awkward.

At least in mine, once you sat on that cushion of the futon, your head would hit the ceiling.

Love the idea though.

Might also make a replacement for the useless dinette seating

Here is one I found that comes in queen size. It weighs 70 lbs. I think this with a couple of bean bag chairs and a small folding coffee table might just work.

I've seen selling add where in Fleetwood people did put kids furniture in cab-over making what you are thinking about.
But don't think adult room would fit.
