Cabs on GM trucks
Thinking - dreaming - about maybe a new truck ... GM. The 1500 GMC and Chevy page shows what it calls a Double Cab, which looks like the X-Cab in older trucks. But, the 2500HD, shows ONLY regula...

I know for sure! There is a Double Cab (previously sized as extended cab) in the 2015 HD trucks. The doors are front hinged like a crew cab, but not as long.
I spent 4 months with a 1500 V6 Double cab. With the door pillar, and inset doors, the truck if very quiet. I have spent plenty of time in extended cabs, that were not as quiet. Additionally, you do not need to open front door to get to back. My daughters could ride comfortably in the back seat.
Also, GM will start making HDs at the BEGINNING of 2014.
