The 6.5' bed, crew cab platform is EXTREMELY popular with camping families that have a large trailer to tow, and 2-3 growing children.
The X-cab really doesn't have enough legroom, even for small children in car seats, and you know children don't get any smaller as time goes on. Most families will climb in a crew cab, and won't look back.
X-cab is probably doomed to extinction within the next 10 years.
The X-cab is best for working trucks 2500HD and 3500 ... not for a family.
Yes, I said camping families for the Crew Cab or Double Cab - and for families with large RV's or trailers. But that's a minority of actual 2500HD truck buyers - RV'ers in general are not a large group in this country, based on the population. And, most that do, buy the 1500 versions.
So, that's why I believe the X-cab version of the 2500HD will be missed - course, that's just me, and often end up in a minority anyway - like carrying a TC instead of towing TT or 5er.
