Calhoun Falls South Carolina

Question

Second visit for us long weekend trip with perfect weather. Tried the crappie and cats briefly with no luck but burned gas in the boat sightseeing. Fantastic place!

We didn't check out "Promised Land" but thought it was pic worthy.

Our site had a beach area we left the boat on and in the morning there were deer tracks everywhere.

Site faced West which offered a great sunset every night.

Nice site!  I'll bet its empty right now though as it looks like a Corps campground.  You've got a nice setup there Reelescape1.

Nice pics. I've visited Calhoun Falls SP a couple of times. IIRC, they have a nice beach area which was a delight a few summers ago when the temps were reaching 102°. I, too, saw deer in the campground. Saddlers Creek and Lake Hartwell SPs are just as nice. However with the "geezer" pass, those 16 or 17 C.O.E. parks from Thomson, GA. up to Pendleton, SC. are simply too hard to beat. :B
