California sr 87 -Traffic ticket!
Returning from Lake Tahoe to Seattle on California sr 87, a winding, mountain, two lane road in my truck camper pulling my boat I was ticket ed by CHP for lane violation! Officer observed that on this...

OP didn't state which line .......center or shoulder
Everyone is commenting on center line ---- on coming traffic
Could just have easily been white shoulder line and boat trailer tire crossing over it when doing right hand curves.
Less dangerous ....... but still considered not maintaining lane
Hugging white line is one way LEOs suspect 'impaired drivers'
Use to get pulled over many times by CA LEOs in High Desert for hugging that line. Talked to, questioned and couple times given roadside tests. Always passed/no tickets.
LEOs questioned WHY. Cause drunks go over center line and I want to be as far away from it as legally possible (stay within lane but to far rightside)
