I am impressed the majority supports the CHP. Maybe a little known fact --- the CHP receives NO money from cites, overweight fines etc. It is 100% funded from DMV fees. It accounts for about 26% of the DMV budget. No quotas just safety. They do get funded by traffic control and escort for oversize loads, filming on roadways etc. BTW all fines etc go to local cities and counties where violation occurred. Joke is a safe speeder on left and expired reg on right the steering wheel pulls to the right on all their cruisers!!!
