Not holier than thou. Simply taking credit for our own actions.
If and when I speed (yes I have sped and will speed again), I accept that I am making a choice to do so. If/when I get a ticket for speeding, I don't whine that the officer was being unfair, doing it for the money, etc. I say "darn, I was speeding and got caught". If by chance I get off with a warning, I don't gloat that i'm special, I thank my lucky stars that I got away without a ticket.
Nothing holy about me, I just accept responsibility for my choices and decisions.
