camp driveway

been trailering popups and boats my whole life. backing in is not a concern. really nothing is a concern just loving the experience. trying to get everything smoothed over and debug the old girl

Remember the mistakes you make and any difficulties getting the camper into the campsite. Now, about a year and a half after my wife and I started, we really appreciate how much better we are at getting set up and taken down, as well as backing the trailer into a site and into our driveway when we get home. It's great to see the progress. Have a great time.

My advice would be to NOT expect to learn everything you need to know based on your first trip.

Three years in and I still seem to get a lesson from every trip.

Now I almost look forward to what learning might be coming my way. Hopefully it's not a big, or painful lesson, but something that I can learn from.

CANT WAIT FOR THE WEEKEND. not new tamping just new to tts. tents or popups would be no big deal. also the first time the wife and I are bringing the kid with no extra family to help out. not really scared just anxious. should be good.

Boy! How I remember our first trip with our camper! It was so exciting! (and scary!) I really hope the OP has a fantastic time!

I remember graduating from my driveway to the first FHU CG last year. I was really nervous getting it backed into the space. And then felt a bit clueless about the hook-ups - I almost didn't have enough water hose as that CG had their spouts way behind the back-in spaces.

We were less than 20 miles from home, but glad to be paying for the FHU for practice while we'd still be close to sources of supplies if we learned about anything we missed.

It was a blast the first time we walked around the park looking at everyone's rigs and then turning the corner and seeing our new-to-us TT sitting there ready to enjoy.

Sounds like you have no problems parking your camper in your driveway. (No zoning or Home Owners Associations to deal with ... yea!).... So, ... you do know drive-way camp is good 356 days a years! (when no on the road)! Let the good times roll ... on the road ... and at home!

FYI, we sleep in the camper (in the drive way) almost every night during the warm months. We keep water in it, and I have the ability to dump my tanks (into our septic tank system at the house). I keep the "Dish Tailgater" hooked up all the time for satellite television, and enjoy the camper almost every day! We are not full timers, but this is about as close as we can get.

We do cook and eat in the house, but after Supper, migrate out to the camper. We often take showers in the camper too (in the morning), getting ready for work.

We love our camp backyard setup next to our little woods A great place to test out things but also really nice to just get out the house and watch some NASCAR or FOOTBALL.

Visiting kids always wants to stay in the trailers...

Cool ones in the fridge and HDTV works great...

My wireless house phones, cell phones, and internet works great as well...
