Camped in a TC with 6 people … this weekend.

We spent a couple of nights hundreds of miles from the house with 3 adults and 3 children. Total dstance approached 1000 miles. Was it the most comfortable, no. Did we have fun, yes. Hundreds of dollars cheaper than simply using hotels, and the bonus was that we had a pool, playground, and putt putt.

We also were able to provide a bathroom for little kids while traveling, and able to cook meals when on the way and when we arrived.

We finally got to use the above dinette bunk for sleeping after 15 years. No, we didn’t look for one, but the model on the lot had the bunk.

YMMV.
  • Your Samsung phones broke down again huh....:B

    Pic's or it didn't happen..
  • We routinely camped with 2 adults, 3 kids and 3-4 dogs in our TC (I was one of the kids). Back in those days, we rode in it also - we'd have 6-8 kids riding in the cabover bed looking out the window. It was like flying as you couldn't see the truck below.

Sometimes I think we focus too much on size and everybody needing space. We had so much fun in that camper.
  • That's the choice we would make! We stretched our typical " method of operations" when we intercepted our son and girlfriend thru hiking the PCT a couple years ago. We fed a trail family of 8-10 hikers full meals always including his favorites. The experience was much like youts-https://i.imgur.com/frgOtLml.jpg
