Camper or 5th wheel ?
I have been agonizing over this for too long. I really like some of the advantages of the camper but the big drawback is spending 5 months of the year in a small space that does not have a real comfor...

Hi there, I am new to this forum so please excuse any mistakes. With regards to a TC vs 5th wheel, I will give you my 2 cents worth.
I started out with a 10ft TC and lived in it for approx 4 months, just about went crazy during the winter. I think the term is called "cabin fever".
Next I moved on to an older TT (1975 Kustom Coach, totally redone and top of the line for it's year). Lived in that for 3 years in northern Alberta. But again with two of us, there was just not enough space.
Moved on to a 28.5 5th wheel with a slide out, and never looked backed. The difference in having 3 separate rooms, living room, kitchen, and bedroom makes it feel like a small apartment as opposed to a 1 room shell, (my layout is a rear kitchen, central living room with bedroom up).
I have now lived in my 5er for the past 2 years and never feel like I'm cooped up or have enough room.
My dog prefers the 5th wheel too.
