Camper or 5th wheel ?
I have been agonizing over this for too long. I really like some of the advantages of the camper but the big drawback is spending 5 months of the year in a small space that does not have a real comfor...

I agree with Buzzcut. I have both a TC and a 5er. We have used and enjoyed the TC since 2007. Just got the 5er this past June (got sucked in after camping with wife's sister with their Class A). I must admit that the 5er is not for us and buying it was a mistake (as the wife suggested). Even though it is a moderate size unit there are too many concerns and restrictions when traveling compared with the TC. I like stress free trips which the TC provides. The 5er is now up for sale.
Good luck with your decision. Those AF 990s are really nice. If I ever get another TC it will be at the top of my list.
Wow, looking at your map, "you've been every where man". How many miles or months have you travelled in your camper?
