Camper or 5th wheel ?
I have been agonizing over this for too long. I really like some of the advantages of the camper but the big drawback is spending 5 months of the year in a small space that does not have a real comfor...

I thought this thread was dead but it's been brought back to life.
DW and I sat down with pen and paper and went through the pro's and con's of both 5th & TC. We had a TT and know that's not in the running. It turned out the TC had 12 points for and the 5th had 5 points. Without going into specifics, it looks like for our style of travelling/camping/boondocking, we would be better off with the TC. We have a plan to travel British Columbia this summer and we are not RV park fans. We like remote, scenic, off the beaten path places so a TC would make sense for us. If I see a small spot at the side of a road by a lake, river etc. I want to stop and stay for a while.
It's very interesting to read all the different responses and the reasons people choose their own type of RV. We are all different with ideas and experiences that effect our decisions. Most important is getting out there and having fun.
