I'm the OP and completed 2 1/2 months touring Arizona coming home on March 13th. This was the first trip with the camper and we really enjoyed the freedom of the truck/camper combination. We took the camper off the truck several times when we were in a spot for more than a 4 or 5 days.
We went up to a week with no hook ups and never required our tanks to be emptied or ran out of water. Not sure how long we can go but impressed how long the AF 990 can be off the grid.
One of the first things we did was change all the interior lights to led from ledtrailerlights.com. We ran our new 24 inch Samsung often and never had any battery issues as well as running the furnace most mornings to take the chill off.
We are looking forward to heading off to tour our home province of BC this summer. Loving the truck camper and after owning a different camper, travel trailer and 5th wheel, we are happy with our choice.
Well done! Isn't the freedom of a TC great?!
The best RV we ever had...
