Sometimes I have good luck with just searching on GOOGLE for the model number followed by the word MANUAL...

The manuals are not going to be to much detail and are written for many models with just a few changes... The best thing to have is the individual manf spec sheets for all of the accessories and appliances etc...

  • Somehow, I read the original post as manual for a Truck, so I'm editing. ;)

Anyway, what brand is it. There are manuals online for some brands. They can be buried on their sites. Other than that, contact the manufacturer if they are still in business.
  • RV manufacturers don't provide wiring diagrams in manuals. I don't even think they create them based on the weird techniques and wiring jobs I've seen in RVs.

As far as operating the interior accessories, the manuals for each of those items will provide the details. A manual on a give RV, provided by the RV manufacturer doesn't discuss how to operate the appliances.
  • I agree with Roy. Manuals are not very specific, devoid of finite info and may cover many years of a run of that model along with several other 'close' models. My used Lance came with a pile of separate sheets for all the appliances but no wiring schematic. When I needed a schematic of the side of my Lance I called the factory and they sent me the build sheets for that specific model to find out where the framing was under the skin. The stainless steel screws for my low budget rip stop awning L bracket found the exact placement of all the wood side supports which were not at all where I thought they would be.
I think it would be good to have someone (not me) compile all the factory manuals for campers past and present on this very forum. I've copied and mailed my manual several times for owners who did not receive one with their camper. If someone with scanning skills had the originals, we could have a good library of informative manuals available for download. Just a reminder: not me.

  • If it is a Lance, contact customer service and they will send you what they have which is usually a bit more model/year specific than the general manual you get with the unit.

Other manufacturers may also do the same but I've only had to do it for a Lance.
  • Our 2009 Alpenlite owner's manual includes all the wiring and plumbing diagrams for every model. It even includes a vendor list with contact information. I've seen the Northern-lite manual that we'll get with the new camper and it doesn't include much.
