Camper Storage plus other items

Those are 7,000 lb. axles. The owner of the backhoe for years and years was also the owner of the trailer until he gave it to me and I converted it from a bumper pull to a gooseneck.

The axles have held up quite well. Those tires were 10 ply and have been replaced with 14 ply tires.

Some people may just be lucky.

Just curious , that looks like a lot of weight for a 2 axle trailer . I thought the axles were only rated for 6000# each .

Inside the shop is a Mahindra 3316 4WD tractor with a front end loader and several other 3 point attachments for snow and grass removal.

I converted the trailer from a bumper pull to the gooseneck. The friend that gave me the bumper pull trailer towed a large backhoe. I have never enjoyed towing heavy objects on a bumper pull trailer - when I say heavy, I am talking 15-16,000 lbs.

The 450B dozer weighs just over 11,000 lbs. and the 14K trailer weighs 4,330. My 2013 RAM 3500 DRW is more than capable hauling the load. I have towed the 450B 1,250 miles.

Nice dozer! My friend just sold his JD450C and bought a skidsteer instead. The dozer was great when building his house but a skidsteer is more useful for small stuff. Plowing snow with a dozer is....well....a little overkill I guess! Nice yours works on that trailer - we never had the ability to tow his around as it weighed about 20K with the backhoe on it.

Love the storage/barn. I could use one of those for my poor trailers (2) skidsteer (1) plus attachments, dirt bikes (3), TC's (2, though one is just a shell now) and other assorted junk I have that is pretty much all stored outside at 8400' mountains in Colorado. My stuff gets some harsh weather. If my dad taught me that lesson it was about not having any stuff as we had no garage and so had no extra vehicles! If it didn't fit in the basement I guess we didn't have it. :)

I have four way locking but totally swivelling casters on my rig. Can lock either front or back or sideways if needed.

Very nice campers and shop! I like the trailer and tractors too!

The entire shop is all steel - steel trusses, steel purlins and girts.

We have not loaded this TC via the dollies but when I had a Lance 1030 and a 2004 Dodge 2500, I did load it several times using the dollies.

When we rebuilt the front end of the Lance 820 seen in the picture, we used the dollies to move the TC through a 10' wide by 8' tall shop door.

I have also used them to move the Lance 1050S sideways so I can open my slide 100% in the 12' bay.

The dollies work great on a concrete floor.

Each dolly has three 4" steel swivel casters. I am thinking about making two of the dollies have a least one stationary wheel (just thinking though). It is real nice to be able to move the TC sideways.

Each dolly is made of 2 pieces of 3/4" x 2' x2' treated plywood, glued and held together by the 12 carriage bolts that attach the casters.

Most likely will incorporate those 4 dollies into a 5' x 8' dolly to move the TC with. There is too much stress on the front jacks when using the individual dollies.

Yeah, I noticed the dolly's too. How well do they work? Can you load the TC to the truck with the dollys?
