Camper to Cab intercom

Hey folks, I recently bought an other camper (1967) and it has a "Phillips Intercom System" in it that I assume would go to the truck cab, Has anyone ever used, seen, installed one? Im pretty sure that it has never been used and as part of the restoration it might be fun to see if I can get it going, Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

    My 1969 Travel Queen had one, but we didn't have the cab portion so we never tried it. My wife said that they had one when they were kids and would use it to talk to their mom and dad while they were driving down the road.

    My in laws had an old Hunstman TC and it had an intercom system in it. They used to keep it hooked up and they did use it while traveling with some people rode in the back of the TC. That was back in the early 70's.

    It is not illegal in NC to ride in the back of a TC, just stupid.

    I hesitate to leave your post referring to people as being "stupid" because you disagree with them. The "stupid" comment is flaming.

    My dog rides in the TC, sleeps, eats & drinks there too ... for the sake of civility, I'll refrain from an intelligence comparison.

    A number of years back someone looked into the legality of riding in the back and it is allowed (or has been in the past) in most places as long as you have communication with the driver. That would explain the intercom.

    As far as being safe I would do it in slow speed driving but it would scare me on a highway at high speed.
