Mike: I'm not sure what you mean with sway while in overhead. I haven't noticed a lot of movement while in my overhead. There have been times when it is very windy when I have dropped my jacks to stabilize the camper.
I am not exactly sure where the sway is coming from (e.g. the camper or the bed) but perhaps my turnbuckles are not tight enough? I had heard form a friend that they needed to be a little loose. In any event, the symptom is that slight movements in the cabover (e.g. while changing sleeping position) will result in a bit of swaying...
I drop my jacks to firm up the camper, however my camping is always remote and never on a flat parking pad.
