Come on guys let’s get real. I live in northern Indiana and every year it snows. The first snow fall always brings out the crazy drivers or at least those who forget what it was like last year.
If you live where it snows, you are going to drive in the snow. I bought my TT last December. What was I supposed to do, leave on the dealer’s lot until spring?
In mid-February we took the snow blower and opened a path through 2 feet of drifts to the TT so we could leave for the Everglades. We left in a mix of snow and freezing rain. It cleared hours later when we passed into Kentucky.
The month in the South was great. We missed the sub-zero cold dip at home. We hoped that it would be warmer when we returned but that was not to be. We drove into a snow fall in mid Kentucky that followed us all the way home.
Sure I like the sunny winter days with dry pavement but that is not always the case. Towing in foul weather is not a sweaty palm, shaky knees experience. It does however require forethought, attention to detail and an extra dose of caution.
