Most of us aren't trying to make rules. We are trying to see the rules. In any case, isn't your fiver too long to go there? So, you'll also need to increase the length or say it doesn't matter if you fit or not. ;)
Correct on the size rules. But If I'm told my unit is too big and I'm not allowed. I need to simply accept the rules and respect those charged with enforcing the rules vs. complaining about the rules and demanding to see it in writing as though there must be some mistake!
At best the OP was in a grey area on the rules, driving a long distance without a solid plan is the chance the OP took. When things did not work out the OP chooses to blame the system/ranger vs. taking responsibility for his own risky decision to travel without a solid plan. Must be someone else's fault that I can't put 2 RV's on 1 site.
A simple phone call could have clarified the rules and avoided the whole mess.
