I'm surprised there's any disagreement on this at all. When you go to the theater do you buy one ticket and tell them that your partner/spouse/date will just share the seat with you?

No, but when I hire a taxi, it's for however many I can fit. Plus a theater will charge you per person even if you stand the whole time.
So which analogy fits better here?
Are you being obtuse on purpose? :W
You know as well as I that campsites are, unless stated otherwise, designed for one RV. Why anyone would just assume that they could put all that would fit in a campsite is a mystery to me.
Taxis on the other hand (being cars) typically have seats for more than just the driver. When you hire a taxi you hire the whole taxi. Whether there's a butt in every seat or not is up to you.
I admit my analogy may not have been perfect, but stretching it didn't make it any better. But, I'm going to play along and do it, too. :P "Campsites are like a taxi with only one seat". I don't know what to do with the standing in a theater part. :h
