I'm surprised there's any disagreement on this at all. When you go to the theater do you buy one ticket and tell them that your partner/spouse/date will just share the seat with you?
:):)
No, but when I hire a taxi, it's for however many I can fit. Plus a theater will charge you per person even if you stand the whole time.
So which analogy fits better here?
Are you being obtuse on purpose? :W
You know as well as I that campsites are, unless stated otherwise, designed for one RV. Why anyone would just assume that they could put all that would fit in a campsite is a mystery to me.
Taxis on the other hand (being cars) typically have seats for more than just the driver. When you hire a taxi you hire the whole taxi. Whether there's a butt in every seat or not is up to you.
I admit my analogy may not have been perfect, but stretching it didn't make it any better. But, I'm going to play along and do it, too. :P "Campsites are like a taxi with only one seat". I don't know what to do with the standing in a theater part. :h

Not trying to be obtuse. I, and some others are simply trying to point out that no matter how obvious a "rule" (implied or explicit) may be about RV's in a camp spot, there are plenty of gray areas where it isn't clear. In those cases, that's why we have real people that ultimately make the call.
My personal opinion is that you are paying money to use a "space" and resources in the campground. If the goal is to improve the experience for all, limit the number of people in the spot and limit the number of vehicles in each spot. To me it simply doesn't make sense to only limit the number of specific types of vehicles, especially considers the definition of those vehicle types are so vague. A tent trailer behind a truck camper is a versatile RV for a larger family. For the purposes of RV talk, it's 2 RV's. But when used by 1 family in one campspot, why shouldn't it be considered one? If not that, then what about cargo trailer with a cot behind a TC?
My point about standing in the theater is that when you go to a movie, you are paying for each
person to view it. You are not paying for the seat "space". They don't care if you share a seat or don't sit at all.
