When the grease from the chili skillet mixes with the scrapings from the spaghetti plate, the water is no longer "grey". Anyone who has opened a cesspool where nothing but kitchen and other "grey" water is housed would understand why it is not a great idea to dump it in the storm drains. One person doing it occasionally will probably not have a huge impact on the environment, but how about if we all do it, and sneak in a little black, because it is all "natural". That's what they do in third world countries, why not here?
