So the 20amp more wont hurt my trl?
Nope. Electricity isn't like that. 50Amp is what is available to be used per hot leg (a normal 50 amp service has 2 hot legs for a total of 100 amps available). Your normal 30 amp plug has one hot leg and the service provides 30 amps available. Your trailer will be perfectly fine
In fact I plug my 30 amp trailer into 50 amp service anytime it is available. Generally the 50 amp service is newer and less used/worn than the typical 30 amp service plug
