can I use a site with 50amp with my 30amp plug??

Hi like it says can i use a 50amp plug in at the campground with a 30amp plug and adaptor?? will it cause any problems with my trl?? only asking as the site we would like to book is only 50amp thanks ...

The main advantage I can see would be a better chance of getting the cover on the power pole closed to keep rain out, but then you still have the other end of the pig tail (dog bone) exposed to the elements.
