Lots of people say they want a diesel Suburban including me. I'm still not convinced there is a market for it from GM, say at $9k over an equivalent 3/4 ton SUV which already starts at $80k.
I (and I think the overall market) would be more interested in the 3.0 diesel shared from the new 1500 Silverado than a 6.6 Duramax. If you look at the used market those full size GM SUVs rack up a ton of miles. Enough that you could actually see some savings from a fuel efficient diesel.
