- Grit_dogNavigatorNo, I had a diesel rototiller that could out pull the old 6.2. Great mileage, for the time, but like a noisy turtle!

Did they find a warehouse full of old diesel engines? :)
Since GM is putting the 2.8 liter baby Duramax in full size Express vans it would easily work in a Suburban. It would probably outpull the old NA 6.2. ;) Ok maybe not, but would definitely be quieter!- colliehaulerExplorer III

Did they find a warehouse full of old diesel engines? :) - Bionic_ManExplorerIt's a step in the right direction, but it is going to be ungodly expensive. The RST in the Tahoe is $80k. For less money, you can get a Navigator with significantly more power if that is what you are looking for.
I do think the 6.2 would be a winner if they would put it in lower line packages. - Grit_dogNavigator

- mooky_stinksExplorerBig fan of the 6.2. I've owned 2 different ones (Silverado 1500's). A 13' w/ 6 speed and a 15' w/ 8 speed. Absolutely loved the 6.2 / 8 speed. I'm begging for an iron block 6.2 in a 2500. I'd even take my chances an an aluminum one!
