Can you back out once you place a deposit ....guidance?

Look and your contract, look at state law. As for not taking delivery, the dealer may claim to have lost a second sale as you tied up the inventory. Just don't count on anything offered by us wonderful people as fact! We all give our best opinion, but in reality it is up to you and the dealer to work things out.
