When shopping for a truck there are a lot of personal preferences...some items fall into the need category others the nice to have category, So my question as subjective as it is, when do you settle? ...

Got lucky on my truck. It was on the lot, had exactly what I wanted, new models were out and with incentives it was 12k below sticker. That said I went to 10-12 dealers looking at rigs test driving the different brands. Ended up with Ford because it had the only crew cab that could fit me or any of my friends comfortably in the back seat with the front seats in a comfortable position for a guy my size. 125,000 miles later I still like the truck. My must haves is a short list: Diesel, 4x4, crew cab, long bed, heated leather seats, no sun roof.
