I hate be the one to tell you you this but I doubt that Ford has any interest in building a truck to sell for $5,000.
:D
I typically only buy older and used but that is because I can wrench on my own and my persona/ego/self worth doesn't need the latest and greatest to feel whole. Besides, I prefer more of my money to stay in my pocket. I sure do feel sorry for the folks that have no choice but to throw money at dealerships for automotive repairs.
The *only* vehicle I have ever bought new was a 2006 Town & Country because Chrysler was offering legit zero percent financing on $30k. No gimmicks. No shell games. Zero percent. While that was nice I hated that $454.00 payment every month. It just turned over 205k on the clock. Outside of regular maintenance I had to replace an ERG valve and the radiator.
I am of the opinion that corporate America can take their over priced vehicles and shove it.
:P
But that is just me.
(I am envious of the poster with a 4x4 7.3L)
No....It's not just you LOL
I could walk into almost any Ford dealer tomorrow and for around $64K or less drive away in a Crew Cab F350 SRW, 8' bed, 6.7 Lariat. Even though I agree with your "they can take their overpriced vehicles and shove it" statement whole heartedy, I would do that before throwing down $70K on an F150.
