Can't figure out scare lights

That has always been (and still is) my thoughts. WHY would I want to light up the area so the prowlers can find their way around? Let them stumble around in the dark, tripping over chairs, getting tangled up in antenna mast guy lines, whacking themselves on the awning supports, etc.
It all serves them right for being where they don't belong!

I have never had an RV that had "scare lights". I haven't missed them.
