- rexlionExplorerNot to my knowledge.
- SoCalDesertRid1ExplorerI don't think there's a character limit. I've posted some really long manuscripts in the past.
The site sometimes has a glitch that will let your post request sit in la-la land forever, then finally kick it out. Try again a few minutes later, it usually works. - karenor59ExplorerI've tried numerous times over three days. I don't know what is different about my question than this thread.
- karenor59ExplorerI just tried again and got the message: The connection was reset.
I then tried pasting it to this reply and got the connection reset message.
The text is partially copied from another question I had earlier. Is there some reason that that would cause it to get kicked out? - RollnhomeExplorerI think the quick reply has a character limit. Have you tried the advanced post box?
- 1492ModeratorNote that this should really be posted in Forum Technical Support, which is specifically for questions and testing relating to the forum software. Also, avoid posting duplicate threads.
There are some character issues (i.e. %) involving RV.NET forum portal which will cause a thread or post to fail, with the connection reset message. Try using an alternative portal such as Woodalls.com. A complete list of forum portals available here. Same sign-in/password. - kknowltonExplorer IIThere is a character limit - 2000 letters, I think. Sometimes if your connection isn't too good (to the forum) it might time out before you get everything typed. That happens to me occasionally.
- sch911ExplorerIf you've been trying your post on the RV.Net portal it is known to have issues. Try another portal such as Trailer Life or Woodalls....

I have tried about a dozen time to post a question but I get a time out message every time. Is there a character limit on the body?
You now have several successful posts.
The RV.net portal does NOT LIKE special characters, the percent sign being the most common failure.
Proof your message and eliminate ALL special characters and I bet it will post.
RV.net also has times when nothing works.....but that's not too often.
