This happens to me often. I finally figured out why (for me anyways).
It was due to the links I was attaching. Either a photo or a quote even. If I edited out the link, my post would go through. Doesn't happen every time and when it does, woodalls works.
Chances are your link contained a % and that is why it wouldn't post on rv.net but will on woodalls.
Just use the Woodalls portal to avoid the rv.net posting headache. Mentioned already multiple times in this thread. - The problem happens to me all the time too. I end up giving up in frustration and don't post what I was trying to post.

I have tried about a dozen time to post a question but I get a time out message every time. Is there a character limit on the body?
Umm... this is like the bus stop sign that says, "Can't read? Write for help!" - PhotomikeExplorer IIIThis has been talked about on other parts of the forum and many times it has to do with your browser. If you clear the history and the cache it usually allows you to post it. Many times I will write long posts in an email, copy it and try to post, if it goes then fine, if not then I clear the history and cache of the browser and repost it and it goes.

You now have several successful posts.
The RV.net portal does NOT LIKE special characters, the percent sign being the most common failure.
Proof your message and eliminate ALL special characters and I bet it will post.
RV.net also has times when nothing works.....but that's not too often. - sch911ExplorerIf you've been trying your post on the RV.Net portal it is known to have issues. Try another portal such as Trailer Life or Woodalls....
- kknowltonExplorer IIThere is a character limit - 2000 letters, I think. Sometimes if your connection isn't too good (to the forum) it might time out before you get everything typed. That happens to me occasionally.
